BuildingBloCS is a year-long outreach programme for students, by students, aimed at promoting more exposure to Computing and CS as a whole to Secondary School, JC and IP students.
BuildingBloCS is a year-long outreach programme, for students, by students, aimed at increasing exposure to Computing and Computer Science for Secondary School, Junior College, Integrated Programme and Polytechnic students.
Begun in 2017, BuildingBloCS has evolved from an in-school initiative at Dunman High School to an organisation run by organisers from over 20 different educational institutions all around Singapore.
We accomplish our objectives by organising three annual conferences that provide students with valuable exposure to diverse topics, including AI, Cybersecurity, and Software Development. Alongside organising workshops, we also run hackathons for participants to engage in a hands-on experience and apply the knowledge they have learnt in our workshops competitively, transforming them from beginners to professionals.
At the March 2025 Conference, we welcomed 350 participants from over 50 educational institutions across Singapore. Attendees engaged in workshops about Data Analytics, and participated in a biodiversity-themed hackathon. This kickstarts the beginning of our 2025 year with a bang!
We actively seek prospective sponsors to support our initiatives in various ways, through venue provisions, monetary contributions, in-kind sponsorships or expert involvement such as serving as judges or panelists.
Our sponsors will be prominently showcased on our website, social media and other platforms. Sponsors will also have the opportunity to speak to participants or set up dedicated booths at our conferences to connect with attendees. Furthermore, your logo will be printed on our shirts for our flagship conference.
Our next conference in the works is our June Conference, themed around Artificial Intelligence with 3 tracks catering to Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced developers. It will be held over 3 days with a final Hackathon to tie everything together for our participants.
Sponsors can support us with monetary or in-kind sponsorship for prizes, as well as linking up with experts to serve as judges for our Hackathon and expert talks during the conference.
Please get in touch with us at [email protected] to further discuss opportunities!
An initiative sparked by the Dunman High Infocomm Club and Mr Gi Soong Chee.
We expanded to take organisers from NUSH, TJC, SP and many more institutes around Singapore, hosting events yearly.
The March Conference aims to spark an interest in Python and Data Science, with five workshops and a hackathon.
